In planning

Historically from the 18th and 19th century an area for high society with haunts like the Holloway Hotel on Dover Street and the St. James Hotel, both popular social destinations for debutantes. Unsurprisingly then, it was also an area for members clubs. One of the most famous of these: the Empress Club, was a women’s only club inaugurated by the late Queen Victoria and frequented by many suffragettes. After being repurposed into offices post its closure and then falling into disrepair, this building has been reborn, showcasing destination office and retail. We are particularly proud of the historical features that were both uncovered and retained during this refurbishment and would invite the community to pop their heads in and take look. We have also managed to showcase art from Artbox London, a wonderful charity we are happy to partner with.
