10 Henner is located in the Nouvelle Athènes of the 9th arrondissement. The area was first developed in the early 19th century, and quickly became the epicentre of the French Romantic movement, with such illustrious residents as Eugène Delacroix, Alexandre Dumas and Paul Gauguin, among many others. This literary and artistic community remains today and is synonymous with a trendy neighbourhood with the likes of Soho House in close proximity.
10 Henner has a more recent history. Built in 1949 as a pharmaceutical laboratory by Lematte et Boinot (created in 1910 and absorbed in 1977 by Astra-Zeneca), the building eventually became an office. One of its long-standing prior office tenants was insurance group Henner. 10 Henner’s façade presents a modern and rationalised interpretation of the local area’s neoclassical architecture. It also has a rare amount and variety of outdoor spaces and offers unparalleled views over central Paris from its numerous terraces which have featured in movies and tv shows alike.
